PCS7 Workshops and Training

Our PCS 7 trainings and workshops take place either in the iMes Solutions GmbH training facilities in Burghausen or at the customer's premises..

Training is conducted by our internationally experienced PCS 7 trainers. Our training manager has been employed for years as a PCS 7 coach in the headquarters of the Siemens AG in Karlsruhe.

Our PCS 7 trainings will be adapted to the requirements of our clients - no matter whether they are PCS 7 beginners or PCS 7 users with advanced knowledge.

PCS7 Training overview

  • PCS 7 System course for beginners - 2 weeks
  • PCS 7 Safety engineering and safety matrix - 3 days
  • PCS 7 SCL - Structured control language - programming of CFC modules with SCL - 1 week
  • PCS 7 Redundancy - 2 days

PCS 7 System course for beginners (2 weeks)

  • System architecture and overview of the system components
  • Generation of a new project
  • Hardware configuration (HW-Config and NetPro)
  • Software programming with CFC and SFC (Continuous and Sequential Function Chart)
  • Software generation (PID control loops, measurements, valves, motors…)
  • Plant View, Component View, Process Object View
  • Operation System (Visualization)
  • Communication/Download of “ES” to PLC’s and HMI’s

PCS 7 Training for advanced users (1 week)

  • Measurement types (IEA) and sample solutions (models) and efficient use of the master data library
  • Textual references out of Excel tables – automatic connection among the plans
  • Generation of signal lists for PCS7 with Excel – procedure, project processing
  • Use of Master Graphics - automatic generation of the visualization dynamic
  • Generation of user defined objects
  • Use of the APL (Advanced Process Library)
  • Use of the model Predictive Controls with Multivariable 4x4 Matrix in PCS 7 with APC /MPC module

Documentation /Reverse Engineering of PCS / SPS

Standardized and automated plant documentation / reverse engineering with PLSDOC® provides efficient documentation of the plant know-how. Data are processed in a  structured HTML document - which essential for an efficient PCS migration.

Reverse engineering is available for different control systems:

  • ABB: Contronic P, 800xA, Freelance 2000, Advant Master
